INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIONS: Discussion and Slide Show

Greg Wilbur presents a slide show on his experiences as a participant at various collaborative art events. Included are the bi-ennial gathering in Saskatoon, Canada and the COLLABORATIONZ event in Whangarei, New Zealand. Wilbur will also discuss the collaborative works created for Art In The Pearl that are view thru Sunday September 7 in The Lab.

Collaborative Exhibition:
In 2008 the seventh annual Collaborative Artists show will be displayed at The Museum of Contemporary Craft in association with Art In The Pearl.
The goal
of these collaborations is to get artists to explore new things, perhaps work in a
different media or look at their work from another artist's point of view. Curated by
Greg Wilbur, artists are asked to stimulate their creative energy by making work together.
Fifty percent of sales from this project go to Sisters of the Road Café, a Northwest
Portland Café that serves meals to people regardless of their ability to pay and also
is a safe and pleasant place for people to spend time. Artists involved in this
