Art In The Pearl®, the annual arts festival, occurs every year on Labor Day weekend in early
September.
Our 13th Annual show was a tremendous success. Thanks to all of of you who helped to make this a great year. This festival fills the Northwest Portland Park blocks with art, theater, music,
and hands-on activities for people of all ages.
Art In The Pearl® is a wonderful community event. Over one hundred artists show and
sell work ranging from fine wooden furniture to beautiful paintings to photography,
glass, clay, metal, jewelry, and much more! Art In The Pearl is ranked in the TOP 25 Fine Art events nationwide by the Art Fair Sourcebook. (download ArtFairSourcebook chart)
The new World Music Stage has a variety of music, and the education
pavillion has hands-on art activities for children and adults. There is also delicious food for sale.
Location and Date
Art In The Pearl, is located in the Northwest Park blocks, between W Burnside and NW
Glisan at NW 8th Ave in Portland, Oregon. [Map] The dates are always on Labor Day weekend in early September.
Hours are
10am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 5pm on Monday.

ANNOUNCING OUR NEW EMERGING ARTISTS PROGRAM
Art In The Pearl Fine Arts and Crafts Festival presents a great opportunity for artists residing in Oregon and Washington.
The Emerging Artist Program has been designed specifically for artists who have minimal experience exhibiting and selling their artwork. This is an opportunity to showcase their talent at one of our nation’s premier art festivals.
Candidates will apply through Zapplication.org, submitting digital images of their artwork in the same manner as professional artists. The application fee is the same. Upon acceptance, the emerging artist will pay a lower booth fee. Art In The Pearl will provide booth space, tent, and electricity. In addition, Art In The Pearl will provide a mentor to help guide the emerging artist through the details of festival preparation, display, and sales.
Artists may apply as either an emerging artist or a professional artist, but not both. Art In The Pearl will evaluate all emerging artists applications to make sure they qualify for this category. When applying, select “Emerging Artist” as your medium choice. The jury will review emerging artists work separately from that of professional artists. Scoring is based on originality, design, technical proficiency, and craftsmanship.
Applications will be accepted through midnight March 15, 2010 at www.zapplication.org.
