Medium: In the Andes there is a kind of cult to the dead. This is a very ancient tradition where families and loved ones throw a party for their ancestors, an event filled with lots of music, dancing, food and liquor.

Dung beetle

Medium: Patchwork copper and brass cold worked ball. Fuse and kin formed components such as thorax abdomen and eyes combined with sheet copper and internal structure to make the scarab beetle. Riveted and soldered together.

Medium: Fused and kiln formed glass to make the beetle body parts-head , thorax , abdomen and eyes. Combined with sheet copper, tubing and rod and rivets for both structural and insect features. Blue patina on metal work with clear coat finish
