Description:
Our first mission is to collect willow. This is cut when the sap is down and kept frozen for use. The rattan and other fibers are dyed using a high quality textile dye. We begin the weaving and allow the piece to develop, to flow, to see the direction that it will take. Possibly to a curvaceous shape or a piece that will be topped with an aspen branch or antler. We have developed many of our own techniques but we also use a common 3 rod wailing and tapestry weave in our work.
