My books and albums have hand-torn archival papers stitched into oil tanned leather by hand using beeswaxed twine. Some are embellished with a variety of hardware of copper, brass or iron that is hand-distressed. I select vintage padlocks to secure some of the books, or Eastlake era door hinges which are secured to the leather by hand-hammering copper rivets into the nail holes.
