Description:
I use acrylic paints usually on canvas or occasionally a reused panel. I begin painting quickly to create a background and some general composition but soon after I am zoomed in on the canvas with great focus. I begin using small brushstrokes and meticulous blending to create depth in order to achieve believability in the surreal subject matter. I base my paintings on hidden elements of nature such as anatomy or microbiology.
