PrintmakingDescription:
All my works are self portraits that express my individual perceptions of the world around me. I utilize the processes of printmaking to help me express these ideas. I use a variety of media from linoleum to engraving to develop my images. I have also been utilizing watercolors to hand color my etchings and relief prints thus making each print unique yet still a viable part of an edition. Presently I have been exploring the 4 color process in my etchings by utilizing one plate as my matrix and adding and subtracting, reductively, primary colors to create a wide spectrum of colors. Though time consuming the results have varied depending on inks, color process inks are good but I have discovered that basic primary colors have given me the best and most intense colors.
