In my work I like to expose the natural features from the tree. What some woodworkers may consider a flaw in the wood, I use to my advantage. Using a natural edge opening, or exposing a bark inclusion in the shape adds character, letting the piece speak for itself. I turn one of a kind wooden vessels, bowls, and sphere's on the lathe. My techniques are creating elegant shapes, turning thin wall thicknesses, and using natural features from the tree.
