My approach to landscape continues to evolve. For a number of years, I was primarily interested in the memory of landscape, and worked in my studio from very brief pencil sketches down on location. More recently, I've been incorporating both more involved drawings, and occasionally photographs, into my reference, as my paintings have become larger and ore information is necessary. My current aim balances between aiming to render an memory of a time and place, and occasionally, doing a pice that I hope makes the person feel as if they are standing in the place at the moment of viewing.
