Description:
Inspired by nature and light, my paintings convey a sense of calm, peace and balance in a blend of realism and abstraction. My latest work frequently includes themes of transformation and flight, exploring the idea of nature’s exchange of energy and life as an immediate and joyful experience. I use only soft pastel on archival cardstock with a sanded texture for maximum vibrancy and longevity. Iridescent effects emerge as I build layer upon layer of pastel, alternating cool and warm tones. My works are all original, one-of-a-kind pastel paintings—never reproductions of any kind.
