Description:
The synergy that comes from the juxtaposition of contrasting shape, color and texture intrigues me. The forms are quiet to allow pattern and color to have weight. This current body of work explores botanical imagery in the surface design. My intent is to create sculptural jewelry that is elegant and unpretentious.
With the use of a rolling mill, textured fine silver is overlayed with successive layers of rose, yellow and green 14K gold, bronze, and nickel silver, then handformed into hollow pillows.
