Description:
My work is made through the technique of reduction woodcut. I am inspired often by our natural world and am trying to translate that into a two dimensional form. I hand carve basswood, apply ink with large rollers, place paper upon the block, and roll the combination through a printing press. The carving is transferred to the paper one color at a time resulting in a very tactile, embossed, multiple colored image on paper.
