Description:
Having a fascination with old maps decomposing in used bookstores , as well as my love of travel, I found myself wanting to not only preserve the maps physically but also as icons of the past as they fade to obsolete. My work is a layering of oil pastel, acrylic and maps and writing that is entirely an organic, spontaneous process, happening as I go along.
