My books and albums are constructed using a hand binding process in which 100% acid free papers are hand stitched around cotton stock cord using waxed thread. Then a dense binding board cover is sewn into the binding. The books cover surface is built up and layers are removed. Vintage reclaimed objects are altered and manipulated and inset and assembled into the cover surface as a 3-dimensional assemblage. Doors open, objects turn and move, and elements of the composition can be removed.
