Description:
Combining a fascination with old maps decomposing in used bookstores with my love of travel, I found myself wanting not only to preserve the maps physically but as icons of the past as they fade to obsolete. My work is a layering of oil pastel, acrylic, maps, writing and other found papers that is entirely an organic, spontaneous process, always taking me by surprise.
